Who is our Pastor

Meet Pastor Bill who has served the Lord for decades and came to us when we were in need. The Lord truly blessed this church with his years of experience in leadership and his passion at the pulpit. He has a special gift when delivering his Sunday sermon. His knowledge of the bible and his love of Jesus is truly inspiring.

If you are looking for a church that is bibically inspired Pastor Bill loves his bible.

If you are seeking spiritual guidance Pastor Bill can help with that.

If you are in need of a prayer Pastor Bill can be of service.

One of his favorite verses is John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

A little something about John. Jesus so loved John and he was prominent in the early church. John begins with the profound announcement that Jesus is the "in the beginning" creative Word of God who had become embodied (incarnated) as a human being to be the light of life for the world. After this comes the proclamation that this Jesus is the Son of God sent from the Father to finish the Father's work in the world (see 4:34 and note). God's own glory is made visible in him ("Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father," 14:9), and what he does glorifies the Father. In him the full grace and truth of God has shown itself. Strikingly, a series of "I am" claims on Jesus' lips echoes God's naming of himself in Ex 3:14, further strengthening the link between the Father and the Son (see 6:35; 8:12; 9:5; 10:7,9,14; 11:25; 14:6; 15:1,5).

A Message on Separatation

Last week after our morning call on April 19, I sat here thinking again about separation. It got me thinking about the most earth-shattering separation ever performed, the separation of the Father and the Son on the Cross of Calvary. What terrible agony He must have suffered to cry out such a thing as He did. However, when we go back to the Garden of Gethsemane, we can feel what He was feeling when the very One who was sent to die for our sins asked if the cup could be passed from Him.
It had me thinking of those who because of differences of opinion, lifestyles, feelings, arguments about children, finances and other things that lead to breakdowns in marriage. My heart hurts for them. Have you heard the term amicable divorce? I have never known a truly friendly divorce and the separation of two who have stood before God and made their vows could not keep them and developed sad and empty feelings. When children are involved, the problems become deeper. Who gets the kids and when do they get them? Are they on the same page about discipline, diet, and lifestyle? Are the children’s feeling being dealt with? Separation always comes with bad feelings. I'm going to modify my statement to a degree. The Bible gives certain reasons for divorce however when feelings are involved a person may never be exactly the same. It's important to remember that God can make a person's heart right if one can let go and let God help.
According to God's word we are departed from God with no power of our own to breach or heal the gap between us. This is why Jesus accepted His fate (separation) so He could bridge that gap for us. He did that on the Cross of Calvary. When Jesus said "It is finished" , He gave up His life and accepted the sins of all mankind past, present, and future. What we must do while under the convicting power of His word and the Holy Spirit, is to accept humbly and the gap is eternally healed. This gap will never again be present and our eternal marriage to the Lamb can be forever sealed.

Why Church!!!!!

Matthew 28:17-20

Have you ever wondered why church? The biblical word translated church comes from the Greek word ecclesia. The word is translated to mean a called out visible assembly with many adding the term lawful assembly. But why church?
Looking at the subject verses, we need to remember Christ's statement in Matthew 16:18 when He said to Peter that upon this rock, I will build My church. He simply said that during His time on earth He would develop and establish His church.
Our subject verses have a number of items that need to be looked at. First verse 18, "All power is given unto me in heaven and on earth. I believe this to be an affirmation of His power, authority and His will. In the 5th chapter of the book of Revelation John looked about to find someone worthy to open the book which is sealed with seven seals and begins to weep because there is no one is worthy in heaven and on earth who can open the book. However, the elder that stands with him explains not to worry or grieve and John upon looking sees in the midst of the throne a Lamb appears as the one who was slain. To Him was given all the glory and power. Again, the affirmation of the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the earth as John states in John 1:29. We need to recognize the authority of Christ.
After affirming His authority, Christ begins to give instructions to His early church beginning with the commission to take the gospel to every nation. It would be hard to imagine He was talking to an invisible congregation but a visible one. In my view, He had a definite purpose for establishing His church.
He told them to make disciples of all those they came in contact with. The word disciple or discipline comes from the Greek word to teach. Teaching is more than a passing message or handing out a tract making your obligation complete. Your obligation involves instruction and guidance in the Word of God. How many of you remember the Ethiopian Eunuch and Philip. Eunuch asked Philip "Do you understand what you are reading"? Philip's response, how can I expect someone to teach me? The sub meaning in this case means to make me a pupil. As teachers, we need to be constantly studying and seeking the truth of God's Word from trusted sources becoming teachable students ourselves. In becoming a child of God (while study and prayer is important), a genuine understanding of who Christ is and what He did for all of us is why church the theme of this article.
After the establishment of His church, He commanded His (visable) congregation to be baptisted. The word baptize is translated from the word baptizo which means to bury, to plunge beneath, to wash thoroughly. What it's not is from the words rantizo or echeo translated to sprinkle or pour. There is no misunderstanding what Christ's meant when He commanded His congregation be baptisted. He was very specific as was His prophecy of His death, burial and resurrection.
Christ commands again and again to teach and makes crystal clear what the message must contain for His church. A lifetime of teaching. What would that look like? His church teaching by word of mouth and setting an example for all to see.

Your life may be the only bible someone reads.
When reading the Great Commission, there is much to digest but this book teaches us the truth. Where can we go to gain further knowledge, then look no further than Christ's church where there is Sunday school, Sunday worship, small group studies, prayer and private devotions  and corporate worship. None of my message should be a surprise as this is what God has been teaching us since the beginning.
Why Church? The answer is simple because Christ established and ordained His church to carry His banner high.

May God Bless You and Keep Each of You in the Power of His Grace and Might.

A previous sermon from Pastor Bill

What happens when foundations are build on rock or sand?
In Luke chapter 6 verse 47 it states "whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on a rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on a rock. 49 But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built his house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great."
Psalms 11:1-7 with the key verse 11:3
If the foundations are destroyed what can the righteous do?
Turn to your bible and read 1-7. It is well worth the read.
From Pastor Bill it is the same thing in our lives, home, country, and society. When the foundation begins to crumble its fall into ruin. Look today at the erosion of honesty, morality, integrity, respect and more. Look at the media and how far it has fallen. How much do you trust their words? What kind of honor and integrity do you see in persons of power and leadership? Morality are they stronger or weaker than they were just 10 years ago? And what about the foundations of the church of God. Is there a falling away of Jesus's ministry? Is the church standing true to God's word? Is there a rejection that Jesus Christ is the way of Salvation? Are you just listening to what others are saying or are you picking up God's word and seeking and searching for the truth of God yourself? The bible is your source of truth. Read it, apply it, and trust in Him that He has a better plan for your life. To place on our personage the righteousness of Christ for God is righteous and love righteousness.

OPEN DOORS USA

In the pastors previous sermons of July 21 and 28th of 2019 are really worth mentioning here. They are titled Are We Really and We are at War. Are we really serving serving our Lord as He intended we should or are we allowing our petty differences to blind us and fail to realize our higher calling? Also there is a Christian Prosecution Charity Organization called OPEN DOORS USA. It is definately worth googling. Christian prosecution is on the rise.
We are at war is really an issue with the truths of God's word. God's word does not change. His foundations of truth are solid like a rock with high morals and values. That should mean something as Christians and those truths should be shouted from the treetops but yet many remain silent. Look at the state of affairs our country is in today. Do you find truth tellers or deceivers? Do you find people in power with high moral convictions or do they change according to whats popular at the time? Is pornography declining or on the rise? Is the U.S. the highest producer and seller of pornography? And that leads us to the child sex slave industry. How much do you think this sinful industry takes in? The bottom line is what was once called evil is now a billion dollar industry and hardly ever talked about. Which then begs the question, who is the truth teller and who is the deceiver?
